What Type of Plaster are the Pottery Molds?
All of our molds are handmade using USG® Pottery Plaster #1, a high quality gypsum which is extremely durable, making them ideal for home studios, pottery studios and classrooms.
What Are the Dimensions of Drape Mold
The mold's dimensions are shown above, just below the mold. The following abbreviations are used to indicate the mold's height, width, and length, or diameter if round.
H = height
W = width
L = length
Diam = diameter
Width and length, or diameter, refer to the mold when in upright position. For example, the diameter of a bowl is the top of the bowl.
What Type of Clay Can I Use on Plaster Molds?
You can use earthenware, stoneware, or porcelain on PhotoPottery's plaster molds for pottery making. That is, use your favorite low fire and high fire clay when handbuilding on our plaster molds.
