Hand-build cups and containers (e.g. pencil holders) with this pottery mold. Use half its height to make demitasse cups. This plaster cup mold is not a hump mold, where one slab is draped on it. Instead, it is a hand-building tool to produce the shape using traditional hand-building techniques. For more on this, please see our Medium Cup Drape Mold. This mold is slightly tapered, with the top's diameter 2.5 inches, and the bottom 2 inches. In the greenware state, volume is about 9 ounces; after glaze firing, volume will be less due to clay shrinkage. For example, for clay shrinking 10% and 14%, the finished piece would be approximately 8.1 ounces and 7.7 ounces respectively.
